Kirkwood pork
Kirkwood pork comes from Mangalica or British Saddleback pigs, both highly valued for their rich, flavourful meat. Our long-term goal is to use these breeds to produce some of the finest pork in Britain. However, breed alone is not the most important factor.
Our pigs are older than most at slaughter, giving time for the meat to develop flavour. They are outdoors all year around in 100 acres of oak woodland. They feed off acorns in the Autumn and Winter then roots and shrubs in the Spring and Summer.
